Storytelling Therapy Effectively Reduces Anxiety in Children with Leukemia at DR Wahidin Sudirohusodo General Hospital Makassar

Background: Children with leukemia are prone to experience anxiety due various factors. Moreover, side effects of chemotherapy such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting add stress the children. Storytelling therapy can be used one non-pharmacological methods reduce in children.
 Objectives: seeing effectiveness storytelling audio-visual media reducing children leukemia
 Methods: quantitative research quasi-experimental: pretest-posttest without a control group. Anxiety is measured by Hamilton Rating Scale (HARS) instrument. Statistical test Wilcoxon signed-rank α = 0,05
 Results: There decrease levels after being given story-telling therapy. Based on data analysis test, p: 0.000 means effective at RSUP DR Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Hospital Makassar
